After a two-year hiatus, Plum Village monastics are going on tour around Europe and South America. We highlight some of our trips below and are looking forward to reconnecting with friends and welcoming new practitioners in every country.

Italian Teaching Tour

When: March 8th to April 20th
Where: Between Tuscany and Umbria (Pisa, Florence, Lucca and a pilgrimage walk from Santuario della Verna to Assisi)
Language of retreats: Italian
Types of retreats: Mindfulness Days, Public talks, Peace Walk, Pilgrimage hiking retreat and a weekend retreat.

Tour de France, including Belgium

In April the Francophone brothers and sisters will be leaving the monastery to go on a road trip, travelling around France and Belgium, by van, for a Dharmic “Tour de France, including Belgium.”

When: March 31 to April 28
Where: The tour will include the furthest western point of Brittany, then it will go north to Belgium, East to the mountains of Annecy, south to the Mediterranean, returning to Plum Village via the Pyrenees mountains.
Language of retreats: French
Types of retreats: The monastics will hold weekend retreats, days of mindfulness and walking meditations through city centres.

The tour will include the furthest western point of Brittany, then it will go north to Belgium, East to the mountains of Annecy, south to the Mediterranean, returning to Plum Village via the Pyrenees mountains. All along the route the monastics will practice with local sanghas including Wake Up. They will practice walking meditation along the coast of Calais where many boat people have lost their lives, they will visit a centre for refugees, offer practice in a prison, participate in a conference on inter-religious dialogue, offer a day of mindfulness on climate anxiety, practice walking meditation with the multifold sangha in the Alps and the Cevennes, and much, much more.

Colombia Tour – “Navegar en la tormenta. Mindfulness para tiempos difíciles”

When: April 9 – 17
Where: Bogotá.  Arbeláez, Cundinamarca (Casa Sumapaz)

“Peace in Oneself, Peace in the World” – Weekend Retret in Switzerland

When: May 20 – 22
Where: Villa Unspunnen in Wilderswil
