Summer Volunteer Program

Dear Friends, Every year, we offer four weeks of Summer Retreat to everyone, including families and children. The number of retreatants is great and the number of monastics is limited.  In order to meet the needs of our retreatants, we rely on many helping hands, especially from practitioners who have been practising in Plum Village

Summer Retreat 2019

The Summer Retreat is Plum Village’s largest and most festive retreat. It is a time to be nourished by deep yet accessible teachings, the peace and splendour of the summer countryside and the joy of community.

We welcome families, couples and individuals of all ages, and all nationalities, to join us during this joyful and colourful time of living mindfully together. Plum Village monks and nuns will offer special programs for children, teens and young adults. It is a wonderful retreat for those new to mindfulness practice in the Plum Village tradition, as well as for anyone interested in mindful community life.

Wake Up Earth 2019

How can we respond to the recent surge in intolerance, hatred, and isolationism in the world with brotherhood and sisterhood, our feet rooted firmly in the Earth and our minds free from judgment and anger? Rains Retreat

You’re warmly invited to join us this autumn for our annual Three-Months Rains Retreat. The Rains Retreat at Plum Village is a time for us to come to come back to ourselves, to practice looking deeply, and to strengthen our spiritual roots. It’s an opportunity for lay practitioners to offer their practice and helping hands and live with the community for 90 days or for one or two weeks.

Happy Farm Experience Week

This special weeks will offer you a unique experience combining a weeks retreat in Lower Hamlet with our community and a special hands on experience of helping us on our organic farm. The Happy Farm is a project of organic agriculture within our mindfulness practice community.
