Please join us with your family and friends for an evening of Mindfulness to commemorate Buddha Purnima (otherwise known as Vesak), marking the Buddha’s Birth, Nirvana and Mahaparinirvana.
In this time of great individual and collective suffering in India, the land of the Buddha, it feels important to hear what he may have shared at such a time. There were pandemics in his time too, and he taught us how to handle our feelings and mental formations such as fear, anxiety and grief. He also shared how we may water the seeds of gratitude and well-being. How we can, through mindfulness and concentration, look deeply and develop insights that can transform the compost of our suffering into flowers of liberation.

Please keep a cup of tea and biscuit handy as we will practice Tea Meditation. Also keep a candle (and matchbox) so that we can make an offering of light at the end of our session.
