Upper Hamlet Brick Oven – Help monks build & bake

Monks holding homemade breads
Fresh organic happiness

Please help the Plum Village monks build a brick oven so that the community can offer organic wood-fire bread to everyone who comes. We are moving in the direction to make our own bread from organic flour and wood from our own land. We know that bread, brick and fire are important elements of our land ancestors, helping us nourish our gratitude to Mother Earth.

We have two experienced volunteers (Tom Trout & Aurelien Herail) coming this Fall 2017 to help us build a community size brick oven. It is their offering out of love for the teaching and the community.

We’re now raising funds to provide the material for the oven, that mostly goes into the bricks and foundation.

With a € 10 donation from 1200 of our friends, you can help our community realize our dream. It will bring a lot of happiness to the monks and friends who come to practice in Plum Village.
