Touching the Earth is a practice of returning to the earth, to our roots and to our ancestors. With our body, mind and heart we bow down, let go of the idea of a separate self, and feel the support of the earth and of all who came before us.

In this course, we’ll explore the practice of Touching the Earth through short teachings, guided practices, and simple exercises you can bring into your daily life.

What you’ll explore

You’ll learn how to:

  • Practise touching the earth with body, breath and mind
  • Connect with your blood and spiritual ancestors
  • Feel your connection with the land and its people
  • Let go of what you no longer need to carry
  • Receive the stability and support of the earth
  • Bring the practice into your daily life

Continue your practice

For the next seven days, touch the earth once each day. It can be as simple as one mindful bow.

There is no need to practise perfectly. Simply bow, breathe, and allow the earth to hold you.
