This talk details orientation instructions at Plum Village during the summer retreat, including sitting, walking, breathing, listening to the bell, and enjoying every moment. There is joy in simple tasks like washing dishes and driving, always smiling and breathing mindfully. A booklet guides savoring sitting, breathing, eating, playing, and hugging. Direct teachings from Dharma teachers are preferred over books. Young monks and nuns plan to create a short film to teach breathing, sitting, and walking meditation, led by Sister Hien Nghiem. Walking meditation brings joy and pleasure, akin to walking in a divine realm, appreciating beauty within and around us. Children benefit from adults’ stability during walking meditation, saying “yes” and “thanks” to life’s beauty. The practice involves matching steps with breaths: three steps for in-breath, four or five for out-breath, extending naturally. Walking meditation brings nourishment and healing, applicable everywhere. After the talk, mindful walking to Shengha temple and a picnic at Sơn Hà Mountain are planned, weather permitting. Thank you for your presence and practice.
