This talk details the practice of mindfulness, which leads to enlightenment by allowing us to be present and reclaim freedom through mindful breathing and walking. Mindfulness reveals suffering and the need for change, liberating us from habits, fears, and desires. Despite challenging circumstances, mindfulness brings true freedom and happiness. Mindfulness practices, like acknowledging harmful patterns and embracing transformation, are crucial. Through compassion and mindful awareness, we can positively impact ourselves and others, particularly children suffering from poverty and malnutrition. Practicing the Five Mindfulness Trainings aligns one with the Bodhisattva path, fostering understanding and compassion. Mindfulness involves recognizing suffering and joy, guiding relationships, and nurturing positivity. Insight into oneself and others is vital for reducing suffering and fostering happiness. Practicing mindfulness alone or with Sangha support leads to spiritual growth and better relationships.
