Touching Memories in the Ultimate Dimension
“Cố nhân” in Vietnamese does not only mean an old lover, but refers to “people of the past,” that is, all those who have once shared moments of happiness with us but can no longer live together with us today. Those images—from Thúy Kiều meeting Kim Trọng again, to elder sisters, Mother, Teacher, and the novice brothers from the Buddhist Institute—have all become the eternal ultimate dimension, still present in our hearts through dreams and memories.
The simple, happy moments, when lived deeply, have the capacity to become timeless:

• red sticky rice
• corn sticky rice (white)
• mung bean sticky rice
• peanut sticky rice
• black glutinous rice
• rice crackers
• grated coconut - Rice paper rolls with water spinach dipped in chili soy sauce
Dwelling peacefully in the present moment, we create and preserve a treasury of happiness, nurturing our “people of the past”—father, mother, brothers, sisters, friends, younger Dharma siblings—with love, mindfulness trainings, and dignified conduct, so that they never become merely things of the past.
