Afternoon Talk
As monks or nuns, it’s vital to give and receive love as humans. Feeling disconnected or unhappy may stem from not knowing how to live harmoniously. By listening and using kind words, we can mend relationships within our spiritual family, the Sangha, akin to a supportive, loving family. Creating a space for open, heartfelt communication brings relief and fosters happiness. Practice deep listening regularly in your community to foster harmony and ease communication. Even if someone speaks untruths, practice compassionate listening without interrupting, as it can alleviate their suffering caused by misunderstandings. Embrace the peace treaty practice to cultivate happiness and harmony. When angered, refrain from immediate reactions, allowing space for understanding and relieving suffering. By receiving a message without reacting, suffering ceases, promoting peace and well-being.
