Mindfulness is key for teachers and students in the Buddhist Institute, essential for inner peace, transformation, and authentic joy. Mindfulness, akin to Buddha nature, encompasses concentration and wisdom, guiding us to live fully aware. The practice of precepts, including refraining from harmful actions like greed and misconduct, is practicing mindfulness to alleviate suffering and nurture happiness. Through deep mindfulness, compassion flourishes, healing our consciousness and preventing the cycle of suffering caused by afflictive seeds. Sustain mindfulness through mindful breathing, as taught by the Buddha in the sutra with 16 breathing methods. When anger arises, acknowledge it and let mindfulness soothe it, preventing harm. Seek guidance from experienced practitioners to alleviate suffering and restore balance in life.
