This is the third Dharma talk offered by Thay for the Finding Our True Home Retreat at Deer Park Monastery, scheduled to begin at 10:30am PDT on Monday, October 14th, 2013, in Escondido, CA. This 80-minute dharma talk was given by Thich Nhat Hanh during the 2013 Nourishing Great Togetherness teaching tour.

The talk covers the Four Noble Truths, starting with ill being and the path out of ill being, which leads to joy and happiness. Thay explains the concept of Right View, emphasizing the importance of not being caught by the notions of ill being and well being, and introduces the teaching of interbeing.

Thay also discusses the Four Elements of True Love: Loving Kindness, Equanimity, Joy, and Compassion, and shares the practice of Pebble Meditation and the Five Mantras we can use in our relationships:

  1. Darling, I am here for you.
  2. Darling, I know you are there and it makes me happy.
  3. Darling, I know you suffer and I am here for you.
  4. Darling, I am suffering and I need your help.
  5. Darling, this is a happy moment.

Additionally, Thay talks about the fourth mantra, which we can practice when we suffer, and the practice of the wallet reminder.
