  • Today is the Păng tơ cốt festival—a collective awakening ceremony at the Full Moon Meditation Hall (New Hamlet), combined with outdoor mindfulness practice to celebrate the new temple gate and to offer Dharma names to two brothers:

    1. Huệ Trung is now Pháp Thể—the true nature of all dharmas.
    2. Thông Tánh is Pháp Thuyền—the Dharma boat that carries us across the ocean of suffering.
The list of Dharma teacher trainees in Germany has just been updated to include Sister Đồng Đoan. From July 3rd to 7th, there will be an ordination ceremony for the younger brothers and sisters at Purple Bamboo Grove.
  • Daily practice—sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful work, eating, sweeping leaves…—is a joy and a way to nourish the Dharma body (Dharmakāya) with every breath and every step. Love and gratitude for our parents, teachers, friends, benefactors, and all beings is the energy that sustains our happiness and peace.

  • The Sangha is a “jewel” formed from the Dharma, the precepts, and mindfulness trainings, nourished by the Six Harmonies:

    1. harmony in body
    2. harmony in sharing resources
    3. harmony in speech and action
    4. harmony in precepts
    5. harmony in views
    6. harmony in understanding
When each individual is stable and solid, the Sangha truly becomes a safe refuge, transforming suffering and creating happiness.
