Thich Nhat Hanh discusses continuation, being and non-being, nirvana, the extinction of all notions, compassion, and non-fear. He emphasizes the importance of looking deeply to understand that a person does not truly die but ceases their current manifestation to take on another form. This person is everywhere, within us and around us, and if we are attentive, we can recognize their new manifestations. Death is also a manifestation, a new continuation, and cannot touch us, just as it cannot touch a cloud. This misunderstanding of death leads us to believe that it means transitioning from being to non-being, from someone to no one, but in reality, the true nature of being and reality is non-birth and non-death.
