Feedback

On October 26, 1994, at Lower Hamlet, the autumn retreat took place with many profound experiences. A participant shared about singing despite feeling anxious and realized that work helps keep the mind peaceful from negative thoughts. While working with Sister Bao Nghiem and Sister Sa Lam, they felt happy to have healthy hands to work with. During walking meditation, they realized that the soul needs space just like the land needs room. Thich Nhat Hanh emphasized taking care of oneself and sharing joy with others through meditation, tending to plants, and enjoying the moment. He spoke about overcoming difficulties, keeping the Buddha’s teachings, and stressed the importance of maintaining faith and not losing others’ trust. He also shared about taking care of the family, listening, and understanding in family relationships, and facing negative emotions to achieve true happiness.
