When approaching the altar of the poet Nguyen Du to request an oracle reading for the New Year, one must walk with mindfulness and concentration, trusting in the collective energy of the Sangha and the spirit of the poet. Regarding the verse Intelligence is your nature; as far as truth is concerned, truth is in both sides at the same time, intelligence is divided into thông (communication) and minh (light or vision). These elements are already present within the community. Truth is never possessed by only one side; looking deeply reveals co-responsibility in every situation.

To answer questions regarding health and relationships, the verse Looking around, I see the immensity of the four directions suggests opening the heart as wide as space to embrace brothers and sisters. This vastness and humility allow one to bow deeply to the ultimate dimension, recognizing that a small temple can harbor a great Sangha. Regarding filial piety, feeling light, free, and happy in the present moment is the best way to repay the kindness of family. A life of simplicity, represented by the brown robe, allows for a deeper experience of time and nature, making one fresher and more beautiful.

True love requires embracing the totality of the beloved and using all means to open the path of hiếu sinh (protecting life), which corresponds to the First Precept. Compassion prevents isolation, and by transforming from a drop of water into a river through the Sangha, one reaches the ocean. The metaphor of the “golden millet dream” illustrates waking up from the illusions of worldly success and failure to see the sun of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha shining the way. Finally, the harmony between public service and private life is depicted as a landscape of golden sand and rosy dust, where both aspects are fulfilled without conflict.
