Embodying the Green Mountain: Unity, Gratitude, and Mindfulness in the Fourfold Sangha
Dear friends, gathered at the Green Mountain Dharma Center for our first MR Talk, let us reflect on the song “I have a life, I am whole in the here and now.” This song reminds us to embody solidity and freedom like the mountain and the cloud, qualities key to Nirvana. The Green Mountain Dharma Center will house the Fourfold Sangha: monks, nuns, male, and female practitioners, fostering unity and mindfulness practice in North America. Establishing such a community is precious, contributing to collective well-being. Reflecting on Youth for Social Service founded in Vietnam in 1964, emphasizing compassion and rebuilding society, we persist despite difficulties. Maple Forest Monastery and other centers embody Buddhism’s growth, aiming to mend society and cultivate harmony. Let’s vow to live mindfully, embodying strength like a green mountain, and embrace Plum Village Bell songs. Rain falls as we gather, expressing gratitude and unity. Reflecting on joyful moments and gratitude fills hearts, envisioning a joyful future. Offering orchids to mountains symbolizes resilience amidst difficulties. Gratitude for teachings and nourishment.
