Instructions for the practice of the bell:

  1. Choose a bell with a rich and gentle sound
  2. Set up a small breathing room with cushions, a flower, and the bell
  3. Before inviting the bell: take three deep breaths and recite the gatha
  4. Make a half-sound as a warning, then wait 5–7 seconds to prepare
  5. Invite the bell to sound three times, practicing with each sound:
    • Inhale, saying “I listen, I listen”
    • Exhale, saying “this wonderful sound brings me back to my true home”

Practice of walking meditation:
• Each step is a miracle: one step = one in-breath, one step = one out-breath
Hơi thở là dây neo: the breath is the anchor that keeps us in the present moment
• Walk like a prince or a princess, stopping to speak or to think – one thing at a time
• Touch the “kingdom of God” here and now, together in the sangha, thanks to mindfulness and concentration.
