This talk explores the essence of the practice of mindfulness and meditation to touch our timeless nature, beyond the concepts of being and non-being. Through conscious breathing, we find inner joy and peace, recognizing that each moment is a continuation, impermanent and interconnected. By observing the non-birth and non-death in all aspects of existence, from the eternal cycle of nature to the constituent elements of our being, we discover freedom from the deepest fears such as death and separation. The story of Anathapindika illustrates how the understanding and application of these teachings can offer comfort and serenity in the face of the inevitable. The act of cultivating the energy of non-fear, the importance of attentive presence with the dying, and the recognition of our essence beyond physical possession, align to form a path of deep understanding. By diagnosing the illusory nature of the aggregates of inter-being and practicing mindful consumption, we become capable of restoring inner harmony and living fully, free from distractions and focused on the true necessities of life. This talk invites us to consolidate our self not around the ephemeral, but in the embrace of love and continuity, where mental and physical well-being is inextricably linked to a profound understanding of impermanence and inter-being.
