I'm
wondering
if
you
could
give
us
your
thoughts,
Ty,
on
how
does
one
bring
the
beautiful
sanctuary
that
we
have
here
into
our
busy
lives?
And
is
it
possible
to
be
mindfully
busy
and
mindfully
hurried?
Thank
you.
You
don't
know,
but
in
Plum
Village
I
practice
jogging,
running
also.
Sometimes
I
play
table
tennis.
Mindfulness
is
easier
when
you
are
beginners.
Mindfulness
is
easier
when
you
do
it
slowly.
But
if
your
mindfulness
is
strong
enough,
you
can
do
things
more
quickly.
But
make
sure
that
it's
mindful.
You
can
walk
mindfully,
but
you
can
run
mindfully.
And
then...
It
depends
on
your
way
of
planning.
Suppose
you
are
at
the
airport
at
10
o'clock,
and
you
think
that
from
now
you
still
have
the
time
to
linger
on,
you
wait
until
that
time
in
order
to
drive
to
the
airport.
But
maybe
there
is
heavy
traffic
and
you
may
get
a
little
bit
late
so
you
have
to
run.
So
you
can
always
plan
so
that
you
have
plenty
of
time
to
walk
as
a
free
person
at
the
airport.
We
always
do
that.
We
add
another
hour
in
order
to
have
the
pleasure
of
doing
walking
meditation
at
the
airport.
And
we
can
always
go
from
one
building
to
another
with
the
pleasure
of
walking
meditation.
So
it
should
become
a
habit
of
planning
in
such
a
way
that
you
have
plenty
of
time
to
do
each
thing.
And
that's
a
good
habit
that
everyone
can
get.
When
you
drive,
instead
of
thinking
of
arrival,
enjoy
every
moment
of
driving.
This
morning,
before
I
came
to
the
question
and
answer,
I
did
not
bother
me
with
the
question,
what
my
friends
will
ask
and
how
should
I
answer.
I
did
not
bother
myself
with
this
question
at
all.
From
my
room,
I
enjoy
every
step
back
here.
And
I
live
each
moment
of
my
daily
life,
of
my
walk,
deeply.
And
when
I
arrive,
I
feel
fresh
and
ready
to
offer
my
answers
to
the
question.
So
it
is
possible
to
enjoy
mindful
living
in
every
moment
of
daily
life.
When
you
make
your
breakfast,
transform
breakfast
making
into
a
session
of
meditation,
practice
of
mindfulness.
Enjoy
every
moment
of
breakfast
making.
and
you
bring
joy
to
the
whole
family.
You
may
like
to
sing,
you
may
like
to
practice
mindful
breathing.
The
essential
is
to
enjoy
every
moment
and
not
to
think
of
what
you
are
going
to
do
after
breakfast.
The
secret
is
to
dwell
in
the
here
and
the
now
and
to
be
happy
in
the
moment.
Of
course,
there
are
a
lot
of
things
to
do.
Even
for
us
monks
and
nuns,
there
are
a
lot
of
things
to
do.
But
we
have
learned
to
do
them
with
joy.
And
do
not
consider
the
things
we
do
as
hard
labor.
And
that
is
an
art
to
be
cultivated.
And
every
one
of
us
can
do
it.
And
if
we
know
how
to
consume
less,
We
don't
have
to
drive
a
more
expensive
car
in
order
to
be
happy.
We
don't
have
to
get
that
big
salary
in
order
to
be
happy.
If
we
know
the
art
of
simple
living,
then
we
have
much
more
time
to
live
our
life
happily
and
to
help
other
people.
And
this
is
a
good
subject
for
discussion
so
that
we
can
profit
from
the
insight
of
others.

dear
friends,
this
is
the
book,
Creating
True
Peace,
of
very
concrete
practice.
to
bring
peace
into
ourselves,
our
family,
our
society.
It
was
originally

as
a
manual
of
practice.
It
was
written
originally
for
the
United
Nations.
But
finally
they
were
so
busy.
That
is
why
we
have
entrusted
to
a
big

that
the
circulation
can
be
large.
The

could
be
used
by
individuals,
families,
schools,
communities.
And
there
is
another
book
called
Joyfully
Together.
in
which
we
offer
our
experience
on
community
building,
Sangha
building.
I
think
Sangha
building,
community
building
is
a
very
joyful
thing
to
do.
And
it
is
a
noble,
the
most
noble
thing
to
do.
Because
if
you
can
create
a
Sangha,
it
can
be
the
refuge
for
so
many
people.
And
each
of
us
become
a
Sangha
builder
for
our
own
support,
our
own
refuge,
and
the
refuge
and
support,
protection
from
many
others.
We
will
get
a
lot
of
joy
in
the
work
of
Sangha
building.
So
the
book
Joyfully
Together
can
help
and
go
together
with
the
book
Creating
True
Peace.
When
you
feel
that
you
have
a
friend
who
needs
to
read
the
book,
when
you
feel
that
your
congressman
or
senator
needs
to
read
the
book,
don't
hesitate
to
send
him
a
copy.
And
you
know
that
in
the
month
of
September
we
are
going
to
have
to
make
retreat
for
them.
If
you
want
your
senator
or
congressman
to
attend
a
retreat,
write
them,
email
them.
They
are
so
busy.
And
we
want
them
to
have
a
chance
to
practice
peace
and
to
have
more
joy
in
their
individual
family
life
also.
So
creating
peace
is
a
manual
for
the
practice.
Only
very
concrete
things
to
do
to
build
a
sangha,
to
build
our
family,
and
school
and
society.
I
have
been
in
Boston,
in
New
York,
in
Chicago,
and
we
have
organized
book
signing
events.
