Embracing the Pain and Taking Refuge in the Boat of the Sangha
Thầy describes the practice of recognzing, embracing and finally transforming the pain while taking refuge in the Sangha. He also expounds on the practice of looking deeply into the present moment as a way of healing past wounds and seeing our future. Thầy emphasises on building and relying on a supportive community that can not only help us hold our suffering, but can also shine a light on our strengths and weaknesses.
This is the third talk in a series of five given during the To Be, To Be Free, To Be Happy retreat, in the year 1997. Thầy offered this talk at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York, in the United States.
