Buddha is not a god but a human who awakened to inner and outer realities, emphasizing mindfulness and transcending illusions. Siddhartha Gautama, who became Buddha, left his privileged life to seek enlightenment, teaching us to deeply understand and transform suffering. Mindfulness in Plum Village focuses on being fully present in daily actions like eating, washing dishes, and breathing, fostering peace and joy. Mindfulness connects us to the Earth’s well-being, recognizing interconnectedness. Practice mindfulness in simple actions to nurture joy and heal. Mindfulness helps diminish negative emotions by mindful consumption, supported by Sangha. Mindfulness practice, like mindful walking, embodies Buddha’s teachings, transforming life and society. Buddhism encourages mindful living, awakening happiness and awareness, fostering Bodhicitta, the mind of love.
