Protecting and Serving Without Stress or Fear
Thay addresses an audience of law-enforcement personnel about finding freedom, compassion, and peace through the practices of mindful breathing, mindful walking, and living in the present moment. He discusses the importance of engaging with the collective mindfulness of the Sangha for support and healing. He leads the audience in a mindful breathing and walking meditation: “I have arrived. I am home.”
This is the first talk in a series of four given during the Protecting and Serving Without Stress or Fear retreat in the year 2003. Thay offered this talk at Green Lake, Wisconsin in the United States.
