We are at Deer Park Monastery on the fourth day of the retreat for Vietnamese people on September 7, 2002.

  1. As a Buddhist, what should be our attitude towards the current situation and the war on terror?
  2. Is it correct to think that homosexual, bisexual, and transgender people are not good, while heterosexual people are better?
  3. Please, Thay, give me a Dharma door to overcome my pride and apologize to my husband and family for my past unskillfulness and mistakes?
  4. How can we resolve the conflict when parents show concern by asking where their children go and who they are in touch with, but the children get annoyed and think their parents do not trust them?
  5. How can we express our filial piety to grandparents and parents who have passed away, and is inviting monks and nuns to chant for their liberation and release injustices effective?
  6. How can we transform extremism and hatred within the community into collective happiness?
  7. Please, Thay, show me a path to have the courage and mindfulness to help my daughter, who is lost in the internet and online friends, come back to the family?
