Questions and Answers: Body and Mind are One Retreat
In this session of questions and answers the following questions were asked:
By the children:
- Is meditating about having fun?
- Does the Buddha live in the bell?
- Can the bell be another color besides black?
- Is meditating healthy?
By the teens and young adults:
- If the men in power asked for advice, what would you tell them?
- Is capital punishment justified when someone has taken a life?
- How do I know when I am ready to truly love and commit, given my unresolved suffering?
By the adults:
- What is the most important thing I can do to build Sangha?
- In the face of genocide or extreme violence, is violent action ever acceptable?
- How can I practice letting go before tension builds?
- Would you allow neuroscientists to study your brain to understand meditation’s effects?
Written questions:
- How can we change negligent health systems that cause suffering?
