Good
morning,
dear
friends.
Today
is
the
tenth
of
April,
the
year
2014.
We
are
in
Upper
Hamlet,
in
the
Still
Water
Meditation
Hall.
And
today
is
the
sixth
day
of
our
French-speaking
retreat.
Today
we
have
a
session
of
questions
and
answers.
There
are
some
questions
that
have
already
been
written
here.
And
Brother
Phap
Linh
will
read
one
of
these
questions
from
time
to
time.
You
are
invited
to
come
and
ask
your
question
directly.
The
first
questions
are
reserved
for
the
young
people.
Young
people
are
encouraged
to
come
and
ask
their
questions.
And
then,
we
adults
will
have
our
time
to
ask
our
questions.
Those
who
have
a
question
are
invited
to
come
and
sit
near
Thầy.
And
we
will
take
turns
sitting
on
this
chair
so
that
everyone
can
see
us.
Our
practice
is
that
before
asking
the
question,
we
will
listen
to
the
sound
of
the
bell
and
breathe
together
with
the
Sangha
three
times
to
calm
ourselves
before
asking
the
question.
And
we
know
that
a
good
question
does
not
need
to
be
very
long.
And
we
should
ask
a
question
that
has
to
do
with
our
practice,
our
suffering,
our
practice,
our
joy,
our
happiness.
You
can
also
ask
a
question
on
behalf
of
a
friend.
You
can
write
it
on
a
piece
of
paper
and
give
it
to
Brother
Phap
Linh,
who
is
sitting
next
to
Thầy.
And
you
can
ask
the
question
directly
to
the
Sangha,
to
us.
So
the
young
people
are
invited
to
come,
and
the
adults
and
the
less
young
are
also
invited
to
come.

Dear
Thay,
I
have
read
that
the
Buddha
said
we
should
live
in
joy
and
peace
even
when
we
are
with
people
who
are
suffering
and
sad.
