Yesterday, I spoke to you about Thénac. We have a monastic brother named Phap An, "Dharma Seal," who is now the Director of the European Institute of Applied Buddhism in Germany. He is an elder brother in the Sangha. One day, during the Summer Retreat, in the middle of the day, he had a vision in a dream that lasted only two minutes. He was sitting at the foot of the linden tree. He saw a French commander arriving in uniform. There were many French soldiers, thousands of French soldiers in his dream, which lasted only two minutes.

Practitioners had started to arrive. The brothers of the Upper Hamlet were preparing to welcome the retreatants. And Brother Phap An was there. In his dream, he saw the arrival of a French commander with many French soldiers. And they wanted to register for the Summer Retreat. And Brother Phap An said, "That is impossible, it is full. We do not have any sleeping space left. It is impossible."

And the commander said this: "Do not worry. The essential thing is that you accept us, and we can arrange everything else." And then he woke up.

I think this is a collective energy, a collective vision of transformation. We need peace, the energy of peace, the energy of mindfulness. And because we had already spent years practicing peace, mindful breathing, and mindful walking, we have touched every square inch of Thénac with mindfulness.

So we have transformed the place. And the people living nearby have told us that the energy is completely transformed. So this is the work of the collective and not of just one person. It is the Sangha. With the collective energy of mindfulness, concentration, and compassion, we can change not only people but also the environment.
