First, a question from Eliza, nine years old. Why the parents in Plum Village are more quiet and gentle? It means that when they come to Plum Village, they become more quiet and more gentle.
I think that parents would like to ask the same question. Why the children in Plum Village, they are more quiet and more gentle? So let us meditate together to find out the answer.
I think because in Plum Village there is a Sangha. The Sangha is a group of people who know how to practice mindful breathing, mindful walking, mindful eating, mindful listening. They know how to slow down and to listen and to look at things in a deeper way. And that is why when we come to Plum Village, we suddenly feel that it is not the same as in the city. And we like to join in the practice. We want to try mindful breathing, mindful walking, mindful eating, and so on. And that is why we have more peace, more joy, more gentleness in us. So we become more pleasant. And that's what happened to the parents. And that also what happened to the children.
