This talk focuses on the practice of stability and happiness in daily life at Plum Village. The white lotus, although newly ordained, plays an important role in the Sangha. The influence of the Sangha extends to psychology, medicine, and politics. It is important to live each day with the awareness that each day has 24 precious hours. Brotherhood helps create stability and happiness, and it is necessary to open our hearts wide, to empathize and understand others. There is no need to wait for training to achieve happiness; each step and each breath contribute to the stability of the Sangha. Sincere communication, sharing difficulties, and building true brotherhood are important. When facing difficulties, it is necessary to seek help; daily practice helps maintain stability and play the right role. During meditation, wearing the proper attire is important, but the essence is more crucial. When wanting to help others, it is necessary to understand and listen first. The world is vast enough to practice this, just like the lotus knows how to transform mud into nutrients.
