The Nature of Self
Blanche, a blind Vietnamese girl, lost her sight due to Agent Orange sprayed during the war. She found solace in playing a flute made by her late father. Blanche met Peter, a boy from a distant mountaintop, and they bonded deeply, aiding Blanche’s mother. Amidst turmoil, Blanche and Peter endured tragedy, losing Blanche’s mother. Blanche and Peter were later imprisoned for suspected guerrilla involvement, advocating for peace. Blanche reunited with Peter, who guided her to a mountaintop where dew restored her sight. Blanche realized Peter’s eternal presence within her, embodying mindfulness and interconnectedness. The teachings emphasize mindfulness, interconnectedness, and transcending dualistic notions to find peace and liberation.
