Our mind has two layers: le mental – the conscious mind, and le tréfonds (store consciousness) – tàng thức. Like a computer, the screen only displays, while the hard drive stores wisdom. When we work on an assignment, we:

  1. Receive the topic and transmit it to the store consciousness
  2. Practice walking meditation, breathing, letting go of all thinking
  3. Return, sit down, and write, allowing the store consciousness to respond

The topic “I Have Gone in Search of the World-Honored One” is a journey of seeking the ultimate concern, our deepest aspiration – the seed of:

  • great understanding (bodhi)
  • great love (bodhicitta)
by reflecting on our life, illuminating:
  1. The Sangha
  2. The precepts
  3. Mindfulness trainings
  4. The ideal
  5. Joy
in order to recognize the ultimate meaning and not waste a human life.
