“Each leaf, each root” of the magnolia tree shows that “the Sangha body is truly our own body”; this insight “has the capacity to liberate, to heal, and to nourish.” The future lies in “each moment of the present”: with mindfulness and concentration, “there is joy, there is happiness,” from breathing to washing the dishes, everything is “filled with joy and peace.”

Three outstanding keys

  1. Mindfulness
  2. Concentration
→ “joy and happiness” manifest naturally.

The principle of “tam thường bất túc” – “eating, clothing, shelter” only “80-90%,” letting go of “abundance,” even “laptops,” maintaining “a simple and mindful way of living.” This is “the path to ensure the future for our children and grandchildren,” helping “the Sangha become a torch to light the way.”

Concrete work: compiling “a concise little book” for young people with “illustrations, anime”; preparing the “2010 Monastic Chanting Book” in both Northern and Southern editions, “a French version” modernized; maintaining “weekly recitation of the precepts” to “purify the Sangha.”
