Mindful Living for Peace and Harmony
In July 1993, Plum Village gathers young people practicing mindfulness to achieve happiness and peace through mindful actions like walking, sitting, and eating. Recognizing struggles with presence, the practice emphasizes mindful touch and compassionate action to alleviate suffering. Bodhisattvas, embodying compassionate awareness, are ordinary beings like mothers, quietly aiding others. Reflecting on perceptions shaped by consciousness, mindfulness prevents conflicts fueled by wrong perceptions. Buddha’s teachings emphasize non-conflict, mindfulness, and reconciliation. Recognizing suffering from misperceptions, practicing mindfulness, and fostering unity within the Sangha are paramount. Avoid spreading negativity, embrace compassionate actions, and strive for harmony.
