This talk details the maturation of alaya, or vipaka, as consciousness evolves through various stages and realms, blending perceptions and emotions. By nurturing positive seeds and not feeding negative ones, transformation occurs individually and as a collective sangha. This process involves the law of affinity, showing that shared seeds connect us on a journey of healing and growth, progressing through nine stages of practice. The alaya, or store consciousness, is influenced by five mental properties and flows within the 18 realms of beings, with vital consciousnesses being eyes, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind. Mind consciousness reveals store consciousness and manas, akin to Freud’s ego, and the super-ego aligns with mind consciousness in the teaching of eight consciousnesses, grasping the nature, mode, and object of cognition.
