Vraag en Antwoord
Today is the 19th of June in the year 2010, and we are on the fifth last day of the retreat for Dutch speaking friends. The theme of the retreat is living happily together. A good question can benefit many people and should be a question of the heart that has to do with our suffering, our happiness, and our practice.
- How can I deal with being hurt by someone very close to me, such as my mother, and what can I do to develop more love for myself?
- Can people who go hungry every day and have no work or money for school or doctors also live in mindfulness and be happy in the present moment?
- After experiencing a shocking change in perception that led to a loss of self-trust, what can be done to regain confidence and overcome the fear of being in unknown places?
- What advice is there for a practice to open the heart and be capable of taking the risk to love?
- How can I deal with the confusion that arises when words, which are meant to connect us, seem to cause disconnection and deform meaning?
- Why do human beings want to obtain power if it keeps us away from love and happiness?
- What is the first step for current leaders caught in a win-lose mindset to become more mindful and follow a spiritual path?
