What is this Retreat about?

This retreat is a heartfelt weekend dedicated to mindfulness practices, with tree planting as the day’s central activity, accompanied by sitting meditation, walking meditation, and mindful eating. There is something profoundly beautiful about having the time and space to connect with the earth, nurture plants, and share this experience with friends around us. Through the simple, grounding act of planting trees, we can deeply root ourselves in the present moment, finding peace and clarity as we navigate life’s challenges.

Additionally, Healing Spring Monastery is our new Plum Village practice center, and we are committed to making it more beautiful each day.

Your mind is like a piece of land planted with many different kinds of seeds: seeds of joy, peace, mindfulness, understanding, and love; seeds of craving, anger, fear, hate, and forgetfulness. ..
