Photos / Daffodil Season

“Waking up this morning, I see the blue sky.
I join my hands in thanks
for the many wonders of life;
for having twenty-four brand-new hours before me.
The sun is rising.
The forest becomes my awareness
bathed in the sunshine.

– “Twenty-Four Brand-New Hours” poetry, (Thich Nhat Hanh)
Our Teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh embodies and transmits his message of loving nature and cherishing life to all his disciples. Every year at Plum Village we have many festivals to celebrate life, such as the daffodil festival, the plum blossom festival, the mid autumn festival,… to enjoy the beauty of life and also to be together to cultivate brotherhood and sisterhood. When the daffodils blossom they make the planet brighter with their lovely yellow hues every where in Plum Village. We often gather in Upper Hamlet and enjoy the wild daffodils together.

First the daffodils
Then the muscari
Now the orchids
Fourteen in all
Adorn my little hut.
