What is a Weekend Retreat?

It is a period where you have the opportunity to stay and practice Mindfulness in Healing Spring Monastery. This simple program will allow you to slow down, rest, and be nourished by peace and togetherness. You will study and deepen your meditation together with monastic community and other lay practitioners. We’ll also  practice together with practitioners who will come for day of Mindfulness on Sunday.

Who can participate ?

Those who are 18 years old and above are invited to join this retreat whether you are beginners in mindfulness and meditation or experienced practitioners. 

In this retreat, the Monastery will only host men and couples. Women (French speaking only) will  practice in Maison de l’inspir Monastery with the sisters.

How is the schedule? 

During this retreat, we will have a chance to practice Sitting Meditation, walking meditation, mindful meal, service to the community, sharing and teachings. Our morning generally starts at +/- 6 o’clock and noble silence will start at 21.30 until the next morning after washing the dishes of the breakfast. Please note that this is not a whole day silent retreat.

Contribution 

The contribution for this retreat will vary based on the type of accommodation chosen. Your reservation will be officially confirmed only once your contribution has been received.

If you’re able, please consider choosing a higher contribution level such as “sustaining Rate”. Your contribution is a donation that supports our services and mission of peace, helps maintain the monastery buildings, and sustains the monastic communities. It also allows us to assist participants facing financial challenges, making it possible for them to attend the retreat.

We don’t want financial difficulties to be a barrier to practice. While we cannot offer a full 100% reduction, we provide adjusted contributions based on individual condition. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you genuinely need assistance after completing your reservation. Contact us here
