During the 2015 Miracle of Mindfulness tour, the monastic sangha is traveling in the United States offering retreats and teachings. On October 10, 2015 an Afternoon of Mindfulness was offered at the Nourse Theatre in San Francisco, CA.

The afternoon begins with songs and a guided mediation by Sister Jina (17:30) followed by chanting Namo Avalokiteshvara (35:20). A teaching by Brother Phap Hai (1:04:35) and Sister The Nghiem (1:48:25) follows.

Brother Phap Hai (Dharma Ocean), is a senior monastic disciple of Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh who was ordained as a monk in 1997 and was formally authorized to teach in January 2003. Br. Phap Hai lives at Deer Park Monastery in Escondido, CA.

Sister The Nghiem (True Vow), currently the abbess of White Crane Hamlet at Blue Cliff Monastery, is a second-generation Vietnamese-American who grew up in Pennsylvania. he is one of the pioneers of Blue Cliff Monastery, helping to guide its transformation from a family holiday resort into a mindfulness practice center.
