Today is a special day at Deer Park monastery as we will be receiving Thay’s ashes from Vietnam. They have been hand carried here by one of our monastic elders. We move into this ceremony immediately upon his arrival.
The monastery gates will be open from 7:00am – 11:00am. The activities begin at 10:00am at the Moon Over Mountain Peak Meditation Hall in Solidity Hamlet.
The events will also be streamed live online (in California timezone).

Due to how the ceremony is arranged, we begin in the Moon Over Mountain Peak Meditation Hall and then a procession to the Ocean of Peace Meditation Hall, so the first 30-60 minutes will be video/sound from a mobile device. Therefore, please be patient and understanding with any quality issues.
