Come as you are. Be welcome!

During the Ascension weekend the monks and nuns of Plum Village will organise a 5-day retreat at Beukenhof, a former monastery in Biezenmortel near Tilburg. The retreat’s theme is Inclusiveness: Come as you are.

Programme
The programme offers a variety of activities, including lectures by dharma teachers, dharma sharing, sitting and walking meditation and chanting, as well as periods of silence. Through meditation, you will experience peace and relaxation, while chanting and movement provide fun and connection. The dharma sharing and readings will inspire you and help you gain new insights. We look forward to growing together and enjoying this beautiful environment and community.

Come and be inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh:

Each of us may ask “How big is my heart? How can I help my heart grow bigger and bigger every day? The practice of inclusiveness is based on the practice of understanding, compassion and love. If you practise looking deeply, understanding suffering, the nectar of compassion will naturally rise from your heart. Maitri, loving-kindness, and Karuna, compassion, can grow infinitely, day by day. And with enough understanding and love, you can embrace everything and everyone.

Thich Nhat Hanh exert from ‘Peaceful action, open heart. Lessons from the Lotus Sutra
