Photos / Happy Farm Autumn Harvest Week 2026

There is no way to harvest. Harvest is the way.

Thich Nhat Hanh

From September 25th to October 2nd, the Plum Village Happy Farm family were delighted to host our Happy Farm Harvest Themed Week which combined a week of practice in either Upper Hamlet, Lower Hamlet or New Hamlet with a special hands-on experience, practicing and farming together with our beloved community on our organic, regenerative farms.

For the first time ever in the 15 year history of the Plum Village Happy Farm project, the three Happy Farms collaborated to offer this special collective Harvest Retreat.

We welcomed nearly two hundred guests and volunteers. We felt the earth beneath our feet. We worked with our hands in the soil. We noticed the rain, sun, and seeds. Together we explored what it means to bring mindfulness into the way we work.

Alongside time on the farm, we enjoyed sitting and walking meditation, Dharma and Farmer sharing, mindful meals, and the simple joy of practicing together. At the end of the week, we celebrated together and gave thanks for the land, the harvest, and one another.

We invite you to enjoy some of these bountiful moments in this photo album.

(With gratitude to the New Hamlet monastic photography team and the Happy Farms photography team: Loïc Betrand Chichester, Revi Weic, and Helena Brunnerova for these beautiful images.)

Are you interested in volunteering for a full growing season on the Upper Hamlet Happy Farm? If so, you are warmly invited to apply here. Applications are now open, closing November 13th.
