In the Footsteps of Thầy: Vietnam Pilgrimage

When you walk, arrive with every step

Thich Nhat Hanh

In February 2026, we warmly invite you to join a special journey to Vietnam to honor and connect with our beloved teacher, Thầy. Together, we will explore the spiritual traditions, history, and culture that shaped Thầy’s life and the practice of Engaged Buddhism.

This pilgrimage offers a precious opportunity to connect with Thầy’s roots, deepen our own practice, and walk mindfully in his footsteps.

Highlights of the journey include visiting Huế, where Thầy was ordained as a novice and participating in the fourth-year commemoration of his continuation as a cloud; exploring Fragrant Palm Leaves in the highlands, Thầy’s first practice center in Vietnam; making pilgrimages to historic Lý and Trần Dynasty temples in the North; and spending time in Vietnam’s breathtaking mountain landscapes.
