Letting go can be an attitude in every element of our daily life, of our practice. Gently, we bring our awareness to what is happening in this moment. Walking in the woods, when we stop, we start to hear the life around us. In the same way, we gently stop, and see the things we are holding on to. They may be material things, or ideas of what is a good practitioner, or resentments that have wedged for scores of years. When we understand, we are able to let go.
Letting go is one of the seven factors of enlightenment, one of the three doors of liberation, and one of the four immeasurable abodes of true love.
