Brother Chân Pháp Xả is a Dutch monk and was ordained as a novice monk on February 08th 2003 in the “Walnut Tree” family. He received full ordination as a bhikshu on January 14th 2006, and the Lamp Transmission as a Dharma Teacher in January 2010.
He has been leading retreats (especially in Germany and the Netherlands) on various themes. Since he likes to be outside hiking in nature, he has been very happy leading many hiking retreats in Europe, Nepal and the US. In May 2025 the book “Hiking Zen” was published by Parallax Press, which he wrote together with brother Pháp Lưu after a 7-week hiking retreat on the Appalachian Trail.
