So why would a lay practitioner and a Buddhist monk be coming together?
00:00:06
Ehm… I don’t know what to say.
00:00:06
[laughing]
00:00:11
Hello, dear friends, I am Jo Confino, journalist, leadership coach and working at the intersection of personal transformation and systems change.
00:00:20
And I am Brother Phap Huu, a Zen Buddhist monk in the tradition of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh in the Plum Village community.
00:00:27
The name of our podcast series is “The Way Out Is In” and will be finding out why do these people become monastics, why do they cut their hair off, get rid of all their possessions. And yet they have this extraordinary wish to provide people with a place to transform, a place to heal their suffering and come back to who they truly are.
00:00:49
So it’s for us to sit down and have a conversation about how do we bring the practise of mindfulness into our daily life.
00:00:57
Every episode we’re going to be having a beautiful guided meditation by you Phap Huu.
00:01:03
And from time to time. We also have other guests, monastic guests, as well as other friends who have been in touch with us through our practise.
